HALF-FERMENTED TEA

Description

Probably one of the most unusual tea specialties in terms of production as well as character is produced almost entirely by hand in the Province of Fujian. You’ll encounter lots of legends about this tea that creates a firework of flavours on your palate. An excellent Oolong-tasting tenderly sweet with a note of creamy milk. There are lots of legends told about the production process. Immediately after withering the still moist leaves are heated shortly in milk water steam, which conserves the pretty, lightly olive-green leaf and cup colour and invokes the distinct creamy scent and taste. Subsequently, the leaves are rolled manually and dried. An extremely mellow tea, which we are sure, will quickly win over many new lovers.

Ingredients

half-fermented tea, flavouring (lactose)

Instructions 

 2-3 minutes

 176-194 °F / 80-90 °C

 1 heaped tsp / 6 oz serving

Iced Tea Recipe - CREAMY COCTAIL

INGREDIENTS: 

  • 7-8 heaped tsp. half-fermented tea "Milky Oolong"
  • 1 dash of milk
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream (optional)
  • 1 handful ice cubes

Brew the tea with 1 litre of approx. 80 °C water and let steep for 3 minutes. Fill ice cubes into a large pitcher and pour in the tea. Wait until it is completely cooled down. Add a dash of milk. At this point you already have a delicious, cold drink. If you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream per glass, it becomes a perfectly delicious cold drink. Extra Tip: CREAMY DRINK

Prepare the iced tea as described above and add 10 ml chocolate liquor. A creamy-sweet taste explosion!
