NON-FLAVOURED BLACK TEA

O (Orange) P (Pekoe)

Description

The region with the highest tea gardens in Ceylon is home to this crisply spicy tea with a wiry leaf and a copper red infusion. A perfect tea for the afternoon, low in caffeine and tannins. A brisk and fully aromatic tea possessing a wonderful after taste.

History

The six tea-growing areas of Sri Lanka (still called Ceylon in tea circles) are grouped around Adam's Peak. The most important teas come from the highland regions of Uva, Dimbula and Nuwara Eliya, and grow at altitudes of over 1,200 meters.

Pleasantly bold, high-grade tea from the southeastern Uva-Disctrict, delicious, golden tea from the Western Dimbula-District, as well as highly aromatic and golden-yellown coloured tea from the mountains Nuwara Eliya.  Ceylon teas are traditionally very famous, especially in Eastern Europe and in the near and Middle East.

Ceylon Nuwara Eliya – This tea has strikingly beautiful, black pine needle-shaped leaves and is full-bodied in taste. The cup colour is dark-red with an earthy and spicy flavour that will satisfy your black tea craving.
