Tea Storage

Its unique aroma is what really makes high-quality tea special. With the right storage, you can enjoy this special aroma for a long time.

It is essential to assure a proper storage of the tea so that the precious leaves can conserve freshness and flavour. To protect the tea from humidity, light and external smells, the tea should be stored in an air-tight container. Tea leaves do easily take up external flavours. This is why a spice cupboard should be avoided for the storage of tea cans as too many different flavours could be soaked in by the tea. Keep in a cool and dry place.

TIP: Rather buy small quantities and enjoy your freshly delivered tea.

Shelf Life

The shelf life of teas depends on the variety and on how it is stored. Generally, teas should be stored cool and dry in tightly closed and light-tight containers. If not otherwise declared on the packaging, the teas are delivered with a shelf life of 24 months in case of orthodox varieties, and 18 months in case of teas with several components, provided they are adequately stored.
